Kit won't connect?
Start with the QR code on your kit lid — it opens the guided companion bound to your exact kit, and it works offline. If you can't scan it, the fixes below solve most "no connection" moments.
Give the dish full sky
The single biggest cause: trees, the van, or a cliff blocking the southern sky. Move the dish 10 metres into the open, wait two minutes for it to find satellites.
Check power end-to-end
Light on the dish? Light on the router? If either is dark, reseat both ends of each cable — connectors work loose on gravel roads.
One clean reboot
Power everything off, count to twenty, power on dish first, then router. Give it three minutes before judging it.
Still stuck?
Scan the kit QR and tap "Still stuck" — it captures your kit ID and what you've tried, and hands you to our support line. No QR? Email duncan@prompt6.com with the kit number on the lid.
Regional outages (yes, Starlink has them too) are posted in the kit companion so you aren't debugging a network problem from a lay-by.
