Coverage
This is where your phone dies.
New Zealand's best driving is in its worst coverage. The green dots are the only places your phone reliably works — towns and cities. The tourist routes between them run amber (patchy, don't rely on it) to red (no signal at all): no maps, no road updates, no calls. Tap legs to build your route and see the number.

Where this data comes from
v1 combines the public coverage maps of NZ's mobile operators, generalised to route level. From spring, every TripLink drive test logs measured signal along these corridors — the map gets sharper with every trip, and that logged layer is ours alone.
The fix is a Starlink kit
Rent a Starlink Road-Trip kit and you're online in every one of those red stretches — uploading, navigating and calling from anywhere with open sky. Operators: an embeddable widget for your own booking flow ships with the trial. Ask us at duncan@prompt6.com.
